Raising Simon the chimpanzee and Simba the lion, breaking horses on his childhood ranch in Palm Springs, CA, pitching in the Semi Pro Baseball Leagues, being a private pilot, refurbishing classic cars and motorcycles and working as a commercial and residential builder on projects including houses for Bob Hope, Kirk Douglas, Red Skelton, Frank Sinatra and many others are just some major accomplishments Jon has achieved, BUT his love of music as a singer/songwriter has prevailed as his finest skill and art.
Jon began writing songs at age 26. Four years later The Jon Kodi Band was created.
The band's popularity grew rapidly and soon Jon and his band found themselves playing at the famous Palomino Club Hollywood and opening for Merle Haggard. This started an 11 year career on the road playing with a long roster of fine musicians who became fine friends.
The Coasters, Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits, Lee Oskar of WAR, Freddie Fender, Mel Tillis, Moe Bandy and Drummer, Alvin Taylor who played with Barry White, Stevie Wonder, George Harrison and Eric Burden are a few musicians Jon has enjoyed playing with.
Jon's records have made the charts in the US and England. His record, "BEST OF FRIENDS" is imbedded in the bar at LEGEND'S on Broaday in Nashville, TN. Today Jon owns WingSong Studio in Lebanon, TN where he works as a Producer. WingSong is a state of the art studio where artists can be assured of high quality production values.
